Fwenz! Today I’m going to share a staple sauce. I’m pretty sure everyone here purchases Chilli Garlic Sauce, even before the previous one runs out. That’s how loved it is! What’s that? You don’t? I don’t believe you :3 Here’s a recipe to save you a round of the store. You can make it easily at home and trust me when I say, it’s better!
For this recipe, I’m going to use my Tomato Base or Homemade Ketchup. Once this base is prepared you can easily make other tomato-based sauces with slight variations. It’s the easiest route to achieve a good and simple Chilli Garlic Sauce. Let’s make it!
Recipe Difficulty Level: Beginner Serving: 2 cups approx Prep Time: 2 mins Cook Time: 5 mins
Tomato Base or Homemade Ketchup (ٹماٹر سوس) 2 cups Olive Oil or Cooking Oil (زیتون کا تیل) 1 tablespoon Garlic (لہسن) 1 tablespoon heaped (finely chopped) Red Chilli Flakes (کٹی لال مرچ) 1 teaspoon or as per taste
Cooking Pot Wooden Spoon or Mixing Spoon Kitchen Knife
In a wok or a cooking pot, sauté chopped garlic in olive oil.
Add crushed red chilli and fry till the garlic is golden.
Add Homemade Tomato Sauce or Homemade Ketchup and let it come up to a boil.
Cook for a few minutes and turn off the flame.
Cool and store in an airtight jar for up to 2 months. Serve with your favourite snack and enjoy!
