Marinara Sauce (Pizza Sauce)

Hi everyone! Today….I’ve come to save you if you’re one of those spreading ketchup on their pizza bases. Please stop, it hurts 😦 If you’re using a store-bought pizza sauce that’s quite acceptable but what’s even better is homemade marinara. Out of all the tomato sauces, this one is my favourite. It can go with anything! From your pastas and lasagnes, to your pizzas and mozzarella stick dips, use it in anything and everything.

To make this, I’ve used my recipe of Homemade Tomato Sauce or Ketchup which serves as a base for this sauce. It’s jam-packed full of flavour and can be moulded to become anything like this marinara that we’re about to make.


Recipe Difficulty Level: Beginner
Serving: 2 cups approx
Prep Time: 2 mins
Cook Time: 5 mins
Homemade Tomato Sauce or Homemade Ketchup (ٹماٹر سوس)
	2 cups

Olive Oil or Cooking Oil (زیتون کا تیل) 
	1 tablespoon

Garlic (لہسن)
	1 teaspoon (finely chopped)

Basil (جنگلی پودینہ)
	1 tablespoon dried or 4 fresh leaves

Thyme (جنگلی پودینہ)
	1/2 teaspoon

Oregano (اوریگانو)
	1/4 teaspoon

Tools Required:

Cooking Pot
Wooden Spoon or Mixing Spoon
Kitchen Knife


  1. In a cooking pot, add olive oil and sauté garlic in it till light golden.
  2. Add Homemade Tomato Sauce or Homemade Ketchup.
  3. Add basil, thyme, and oregano.
  4. Bring it to a boil for a few minutes on medium flame.
  5. Cool and store in an airtight jar for 2 months.
  6. Use it in pizzas or as a dip. You can even try my Pizza Bombs with this and have fun eating!
